Introduction
In this post I used GAN is for Google Affiliate Network which is under AdSense and SOP is for Shop Open Sky which is introduced by the Blogger Team. Today I am almost a month joining both sites' monetization tools as a publisher and I found there are criteria to be understood before you advertise the selected products on your site and/or at any social media site e.g Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Below are some basic guides pointing out about; Advertising GAN's Products and Advertising SOS's Products;
A. Advertising GAN's Products
- Duration
- GAN's URL Tracking Link, Test Link
- Ad Format
- Duration
There are products applicable to Duration within certain period of time limit for specific product's sales offer and also Duration n/a (Not Applicable) which is all time type of sales promotion. So, I suggest you publish A Post - An Advertiser type of post content and for the content you split into two (2) sections. The first section is for sales products classified under with Duration and for the second section list down all sales products classified under with Duration n/a (Not Applicable).
This is to easily manage in future specifically for the sales products classified as with Duration to be removed/deleted in the blog post, once the sales offer period expired. This is very important to avoid an out-date-click, which is counts no earning.
- GAN's URL Tracking Link, Test Link
Before you select any product, must click on the provided Test Link as to ensure which site does it linked and redirets. Is it the site to the relevant sales product? Found it as the appropriate link to be used, you can use the GAN's URL Tracking Link as an insert link for a text link in your post content composition. For example; Sick Deal of the Day
- Ad Format
There are four (4) types of Ad Formats; text link only, text link with description, banner link only, and banner link with description.
The special case for text link only ad format is you can compose an article related to the sales product in the form of sentences, justly like a story telling or a type of sales campaign description. For example, the following;

B. Advertising SOS's Products
During your registration for being a seller at SOS, you've to select eight (8) categories of selling products as the minimum number of product category for your sales advertisement/campaign. The important elements to look in your searching for the related sales product category are the stock level/status of availability; out of stock, and low stock. Do not pick up any item with out-of-stock. For low stock item, observe the number of participating sellers. If found none, why not? Pick it up as an additional selling item in your existing selling lists.
The quick method to advertise your selected sales product is to press the Sell This button, the next things to do are; click on the Twitter button and next for Facebook button. This method is a non-blog-content type of publishing, it is to monetize your social media site. Publishing an ad at Twitter, must remember to add up the selling product's name as the Twitter affiliate sharing system does not includes it automatically and it must be done manually.
For those who like much blogging A Post - A Supplier type of post content in advertising your SOS's selling products, the quick method is to search for Supplier Info and if you found it is related to your selected products' selling category, take all of their listed selling products and publish it all in a blog post. That is what I mean for "A Post - A Supplier".
